How did you get started in your practice?

I have been interested in the arts my entire life. Photography was my main influence as a teenager. As an adult, I've become fond of drawing and took up pottery 15 years ago as a serious art practice.

Are you an artist full time? If no, what is your day job?

No, I am retired.

How do you find time to make your work?

I make time each day for some type of art practice.

WHAT MATERIALS, INSTRUMENTS, OR TECHNOLOGY DO YOU USE IN YOUR PRACTICE?

Instagram, my personal library, visiting museums (on-line and in-person). Primarily, my medium is clay (stoneware and porcelain) which I enjoy throwing and hand-building.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING IN YOUR STUDIO / WORKSPACE?

My music: Jazz, Blues, Classical, Rock'n Roll.

What do you wish others knew about your practice?

I would like others to know that artistic skills of any type require lots of practice and patience, as well as passion and love of the art.

If you could be doing anything right now, what would it be?

I would love to learn how to sculpt and cast with clay. I would also love to learn watercolor painting.
